Precision aquaculture practices
Optimising feed management using automatic feeders and the efficient use of resources, minimising waste
Certified feed
Working with feed suppliers certified by Global GAP and ISO 14001, and incorporating more sustainable ingredients into the formulas, in order to reduce the carbon footprint and reduce the use of ingredients from wild fish stocks. These responsible sustainability practices are reflected in the continuous improvement of the associated indicators. More specifically, compared to 2021, the current formulations have enabled a reduction in the carbon footprint of approximately 10% and a reduction in the use of ingredients from wild stocks of approximately 50%.
Focus on energy efficiency
Installing solar energy production units with the capacity to meet our energy needs. These investments reduce the carbon emissions associated with our annual energy consumption by approximately 35%.
Environmental control of the farm
Monitoring the quality of the water sent into the sea and minimising waste production.
Investing in closed water recirculation systems
Reducing water use and the volume of effluents produced.
Waste management and reuse
By donating or selling the co-products to entities and institutions that are able to put it to a new use.
